Donation Drive 2014

Donate now!
This year's Carnival fundraising initiative is in support of the Playground Fund.  ALL proceeds from the donation drive will go directly to the construction of Phase I of the new  playground for all of our community's children to share.  This includes safe, well-designed equipment specifically geared for our kiddos with sensory challenges and disabilities.  By doing a direct donation (as opposed to buying chocolates, or flowers, for example) we are able to put at LEAST 60% more of your generosity to work!  Even $2 is hugely appreciated.  If you're excited for Carnival, if you live in Morinville, if you've got a child with autism, or just out of the kindness of your heart, please take 2 min to *click on the "Donate" button to your right. No matter how big or small, EVERY donation makes a difference.
*this will bring you to our secure Paypal site, which accepts Interac and all major credit cards

To learn more about the Drive or to check out the sensory-friendly equipment, keep on readin'!
  • Two of these pods are planned for the first phase of construction.  They have the ability to swing, sway, spin, jiggle, and bounce,  all of which are helpful repetitive actions for children with sensory issues that are being overwhelmed by the playground setting.  The place of the "Cozy Cocoons" has been carefully mapped out, with input from teachers, aides, and parents, to provide a safe, quiet zone for children to refocus, while not forcing them to leave the playground to do so.
  • Parents have unanimously voted in favor of doing a yearly donation drive in lieu of the traditional "send home fundraisers" .  What this means to YOU as a donor is a straight donation that goes directly to the Playground Fund.  You don't need to buy anything.  You won't be hit up later for more.  You donate $5.  The Playground Fund GETS $5.  Compared to "traditional" fundraisers, this means at LEAST 60% more of your donation actually gets put to work.  You can see for yourself below:
